  • Immerse yourself in the authentic daily life of Moroccan artisans

Overview

This workshop offers a hands-on break from excursions where you mainly look and listen. You meet the potter, learn about the clay, try centring and shaping it, then work on the finishing details. A tea break gives you time to talk about Moroccan ceramics before returning to the hotel. The attraction is the making process, so do not expect a polished shop-quality piece on your first attempt. If taking your work home is important, ask exactly what state it will be in, how it is packed and whether any firing or later collection is involved.

Good to know

  • Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty/muddy
  • Short fingernails are easier for pottery, but not required!
  • Great for kids and families
  • Bring a camera to capture your creative process
  • Pottery takes time to dry, but you can take your piece with you
